Acorn Training earns place on NHS Framework to deliver Apprenticeships in Learning & Development and HR Qualification Standards

(Friday, 12th February 2021) Acorn Training has successfully placed as one of the providers on the Salisbury NHSFT’s national framework for delivery of Learning Mentor Level 3, HR Support Level 3 and Learning & Development Level 3. In addition to the company placing as a provider for Customer Service Practitioner delivery last year, Acorn Training is now able work with any NHS organisation to deliver these four apprenticeship standards tailored to the needs of NHS employers.

The three newly-placed qualifications Acorn Training will now be delivering to the NHS employees provide fundamental skills in their own individual ways; The Learning Mentor apprenticeship prepares individuals to guide and advise those who are less experienced and new to a work role, the HR Support standard provides learning to develop a HR employee to deliver front line support to managers and employees within an organisation and the Learning & Development Practitioners are trained to be a fundamental part of identifying learning needs, sourcing training and solutions, delivering and evaluating training, and working with stakeholders. Employers can access Acorn via Salisbury’s framework by contacting sft.commercial@nhs.net.


Caroline Hickey, Head of Business Development, discusses Acorn’s approach to delivery “Our bespoke apprenticeships delivered within the NHS are supportive, yet challenging. We tailor each programme to the individual learner and employer by reviewing the requirements of the NHS and establishing the learner’s starting point. We develop an individualised plan of teaching, learning and assessment for each learner and are very familiar with the vision of NHS procurement teams.”


Acorn Training currently deliver over 18 standards of apprenticeship qualifications across the UK specialising in areas including Health & Social Care and Learning & Development. This secured place on the national framework is a recognition of the diligence, knowledge and experience of Acorn Training’s apprenticeship delivery team.
