Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship

What will I be doing?
A team leader/supervisor is a first-line management role. Ensuring that employees are formally trained at this level will benefit both employees and the organisation by ensuring that employees have the skills and confidence to support their team effectively.

An effective team leader/supervisor will provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of organisational goals.

A team leader/supervisor apprenticeship teaches you about:

  • Supporting, managing and developing team members
  • Managing projects
  • Planning and monitoring workloads and resources
  • Delivering operational plans
  • Resolving problems
  • Building relationships internally and externally.

What qualifications will I get?

  • Institute for Apprenticeships Apprenticeship Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3, achievable at Pass, Merit or Distinction. This includes a knowledge test, portfolio of evidence and structured competency-based interview Pearson Level
  • Pearson Level 2 Certificate in Functional Skills English
  • Pearson Level 2 Certificate in Functional Skills Mathematics

What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal requirements to apply to do this apprenticeship. You will need to be working in a new role as an administrator to complete the Apprenticeship.

What can I do afterwards?
On completion, you may choose to register as associate members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management. You can progress onto a higher level apprenticeship such as the Operations and Department Manager Apprenticeship or undertake further management training or degree.
