Acorn Training’s innovative social media approach secures 24% of views on all National Apprenticeship Week content on TikTok

  • 14 TikTok videos created by the company to support #NAW2021
  • Over 3,100 views on the platform out of a total 13,100 views on #NAW2021 content
  • New @AcornTraining TikTok profile launching this week to support other aspects of Acorn Training’s employability services

(Monday, 15th February 2021) Acorn Training has proved its flair for innovative thinking to target young people during National Apprenticeship Week 2021. The Stoke-on-Trent based company set-up TikTok account @ApprenticeshipswithRach at the end of January in preparation for the annually celebrated week.  Rachel Juniper, Acorn’s recruitment expert leads the account and has amassed over 3,100 views on her 14 videos supporting #NAW2021.

Rachel’s expertise in the field of recruitment and apprenticeships formed the basis for the informative and engaging content showcasing interviews tips, employment opportunities and a CV template download.

Rachel comments on the thought process behind using TikTok “As part of our business plan, we are committed to promoting, recruiting and successfully delivering our apprenticeships. National Apprenticeship Week provided us with an opportunity to join a wider discussion about apprenticeships across many social platforms. We became aware of TikTok’s growing influence, especially amongst young people, and wanted to be part of the conversation to connect with individuals who were not previously engaged with our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram channels. The purpose was not only to reach additional people but to enrich their TikTok feed with helpful and supportive content.”

The total number of views of all #NAW2021 TikTok content during the week, spanning from the 8th-14th February, reached 13,100 viewers, demonstrating that it wasn’t the platform of choice for many organisations despite it being the fastest growing social media app.

Acorn Training’s TikTok videos were part of a 100+ post #NAW2021 campaign across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn to promote the company’s growing stake in the Apprenticeship market for learners and employers. Acorn Training currently deliver over 18 standards of apprenticeship qualifications across the UK including approved delivery within the NHS for four qualifications including Customer Service Practitioner and HR Support.

The company is also launching an all-encompassing TikTok profile this week to feature some of its employability programmes, online courses and justice service offerings. The @AcornTraining TikTok profile content will be designed to bring value to viewers by sharing the important work Acorn Training are doing to promote opportunities for all and to help combat unemployment levels in the UK.
